Anyone try this one yet? I just tasted some and wonder if they poured me the wrong beer in my growler. What I have seems like their IPA, not much hop aroma for a DIPA. I wouldn't call what I've tasted a hop bomb. I must have their IPA instead.

John, your 100%, it just tastes like a slightly bigger version of the IPA. They must have switched up the taps or something cause chalmers and I are trying to find aroma as well the 99 IBUs there hiding in there? I like it as an IPA but not what I look for in an IIPA

Good to know I'm not the only one. My first thought was "this needs more hops". Bitterness is fine, and the malts are good, making it nicely drinkable for the 100 IBUs, but the dead aroma kills it as a Double IPA. Needs more finish hops and I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't dry-hopped at all.

Haven't tried it yet, but on the subject of notching up existing local IPAs, Jeff mentioned that Lorne had suggested that he would soon be producing a true hop bomb for Rogue's. Any word on that?

Well that's disappointing then. Their website clearly states that it's a hop bomb. I'm getting lots of bready maltiness and toffee/caramel notes in the aroma, but only bittering and some flavour hop presence. Very low hop aroma. For me, malt should be taking a backseat to hops in a DIPA.

Quite bitter and tasty, but I agree on the lack of aroma (something you definitely want in a DIPA). Not getting the feeling there was a ton of late additions in this one at all. That being said, I enjoyed it I just wouldn't call it a DIPA and not really a "hop bomb"
