Harvest or Tartan? I'd say no, it's not worth a case for either. There should be lots of single cans of Tartan around to get a sample without buying 6 or 12. They did have cans of Harvest when it was released. Don't know if there would still be any left.
I thought the Harvest just seemed like a blend of Red and Dark. And the Tartan just seems like a tiny bit of Dark was added to the high gravity version of the regular stuff. I'm assuming they high gravity brew the [airquotes]IPA[/airquotes] and water it down to 5% of course.

If you don't mind wasting your money to buy a beer to say you had it, or if you have some sort of scruples about not bitching about a beer unless you have tried it, then yes, buy one.

tried the tartan...single cans were available. Only 12pack available now of the harvest though. The tartan wasn't too bad to be honest.

I tried the harvest as well. I wouldn't call it undrinkable, but I would say I enjoyed it either.

+1. But at least it won't cost you $12.99 to be that fool...
