On the way to NY we stopped in Maine and I stepped into a Trader Joes... I was totally blown away by the amount of craft beer they had.Tony L wrote:Getting my first taste of USA beers available to me at even grocery stores here in Florida.

Re: Beer in the USA
Probably the best city I've been to in the US for craft beers is Denver. I was astonished by the amount of craft breweries, brew pubs, etc that are there.
Have a great time down there, Tony! You sure aren't missing any nice weather back here! We are currently get hit with about 25cms of snow.

Total Wines in Naples FL is like a Costco with just booze. I couldn't make up my mind of what beer to buy. There was just too much to choose from. They were giving away samples of vodka on your way in. The USA is like another planet when booze is concerned.

It will take me a while to post anything. I only have a few minutes at the computer before I go somewhere.
I thought a holiday was for relaxing
But there is always time for beer.
So far the best was the Dog Fish Head 60 although Arrogant Bastard rates up there. SN Torpedo was also excellent.
I'm afraid to go into the beer store... my debit card takes a great hit each time

Dog Fish head 90... what can I say that's never been said before... man what a nice beer. At 9% I won't drink it like PBR
but it sure do taste better. Bought a few more to bring back. Might have to buy more clothes to wrap it in. Gonna stick
with more DFH 60 to try to stay a little sensible tonight.
Cheers
