OK - stupid question. Do they serve anything other than beer at Still Wells? Something like wine or dare I say mass produced beer? Still trying to convince wife to go after game tonight

They have PBR and some other mass produced stuff as well. No hard liquor though.mr x wrote:Wine for sure

Oops. They have hard liquor. Not sure how the AGD can continue to justify preventing Obladee from serving scotch. Stillwell certainly doesn't sell full meals. Maybe it's because their food is hot?benwedge wrote:They have PBR and some other mass produced stuff as well. No hard liquor though.mr x wrote:Wine for sure

They have a fryer. Sadly that is about all you need to consider what you serve a "meal"
Edit: note that I think their food is awesome.

Yeah, it was packed while we were there too (from about 6:45-10:00). Ran into JayGav (or Javin?) while we were there

That was my first time there - celebrating a friend's 30th. Cool spot. I wish they'd put some sound absorption on the walls though. I'm hoarse from shouting to converse. Food was delicious. I feel like if this place is successful they will outgrow that space quite quickly.

We liked it. Food was great. We had to wait a few minutes to get in at 10pm as they were at capacity.

Re: Official Stillwell Thread
I wish that I would of made it to Stillwell's when I was down in Halifax not too long ago just to check it out. Seems like a pretty cool place. By the sounds of it, the only thing that might be off putting for me would be the noise level. I'd really hate to have to struggle to have a conversation with whomever I went with.

Re: Official Stillwell Thread
The speakers are at the back of the room. If you can snag seats near the front windows then conversation will be much easier to have.

Yeah I could see it being loud if they had stuff going on. I've been there twice and there hasn't been any entertainment and it has been awesome.

Re: Official Stillwell Thread
The music wasn't the problem last night. It was the fact that 80 people we talking in a very live room. It wouldn't be hard to do some acoustic treatment to cut that down and make it much more enjoyable. The dude spinning records in the cage was a strange but nice touch.

Hey all -- this is Chris, one of the Stillwellers. Great to meet some of you as we've opened up and thanks very, very much for the support. Re: the noise, man, I hear ya. The glass-concrete-brick-steel everywhere is the real culprit; we're working on finding a good diffusion/absorption solution. Hopefully soon!

I'll be there, probably earlier rather than later. Look for the handsome dude in a suit. I'll be the troll beside him, drinking his beer. Arrogant Bastard hat.
