The first couple of posts pretty much sums it up... trying to get a handle on where good beer is available.

I think that account needs to be deleted.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

That's what I originally thought, but when I checked the IP address, it shows as Sydney, NS...It's still on my radar though

Has anyone tried Hell Bay Brewing? I read a piece in the Herald about them but I havent seen any of their stuff on the NSLC shelves. I would also like to add a +1 for Yellow Belly's. Was working in NL over christmas and was lucky enough to try their Mummers brew. I haven't seen storm anywhere in St' John's. Do they sell it anywhere else besides the bars. I don't have time to go out when I'm there.

Hell Bay is available at Premier Wine and Spirits, and is worth picking up. I believe only their English Ale is available there.
I'm in St. John's this week, and Storm is tough to find. It is just a one-man operation. In addition to the few liquor stores that have it, Caine's on Duckworth (across from the Marriott) usually have a few bottles. There's really only two styles available in regular rotation.

I recall that Quidi Vidi also made a Mummer's Brew. As for Storm, try Caine's Grocery on Duckworth (near Wood). Also, the liquor store on Elizabeth Avenue is well stocked with Storms.

You should have some on hand to serve just in case mummers come by.

I think it's a case of "if you brew it, they will come." So, then the question is: do you want them?
Currently on tap: Whiter Shade of Pale!
In keg: .
In Primary: Nothing

I would. It's been a few years now since I have been home for Christmas where Mummering ( we call them Jannies ) are still active.
Quite a bit of fun. I have been known to join them a scattered time. :spilly:
