I've been in France for the past week so I'm going to need some fucking hops upon my return!

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

I'm really, really enjoying the DOA. I will be sad when this and the Daytimer are gone.

The beer I brewed today dwarfs DOA when it comes to how many hops were put into the wort. Fresh Centennial hops to the tune of ~ 270 kg. Made for a long brew day. That's right, it's not a typo, 270 kg!! The brewery still smells like hop oil..... as does Andy
And now we know why there's a hop shortage LOL!

I really hope there isn't a Centennial shortage. I've developed a serious craving for that one.

Really enjoyed the DOA tonight. Also had the daytimer at the goat a couple weeks ago, and thought it was great.

Hey, noob here who thought he had better chime in: You're now officially the third closest brewery to me (after propeller and north mountain) and the orange ale I picked up a growler of was AMAZING.

I will definitely be coming back to see you again real soon.

North mountain is a coffee roaster. It's just North Brewing. Mostly Belgian ale yeast beer.

I went in to try the daytimer and was upsold to the orange ale by virtue of its "potentially-soon-to-be-unavailable-ness" so I still have to get myself a growler of daytimer... This weekend probably.

Yup that'll be sold out in a day or so I think. Berliner will be around a bit longer yet. Good times!

Stopped in yesterday to fill my growlers and got the DOA and Berliner Weisse. Saving DOA for tonight and man the Berliner Weisse was great. I was late getting to try it and was it ever tart at first but grew on me with each sip. Loved that is was dry hopped. Keep up the great work Mr. Nash! :NASH:

I could lend you a big one (or small one) if you want, will be popping down for a pickup myself in the next couple of hours. You could pick it up (full) from my place on your way home.

Had the exile on north street tonight and holy shit is it ever fucking awesome. Whatever has changed since the growler I got around the opening has made a huge difference. The fruitless of the hops comes through loud and clear. The bitterness is nice and clean. Doesn't taste like chlorophyll like some IPAs do. It's sweet but it is dry at the same time. Really pleasant beer. It's everything you want in an IPA. Thanks.
