Re: Official Rockbottom Brewpub Thread
After reading this thread, my wife and I decided to swing by on Saturday. First time there.
I had the Seasonal S.O.B. and my wife had the Jacktar stout. We ordered the Peanutbutter Bottom and the Turkey Avocado burgers. We thoroughly enjoyed both the food an drink.
Our waitress was MOST excellent too. Can't remember her name, but do remember her saying that she's a west coast transplant.

Looks like I'm pulling the plug - no confirmation that anyone can make it. Becky is leaving now for the Ladies Beer League, and she was my ride..I'll be sitting at home working on my PMP application instead.

Yeah it's not too bad. I thought the BNL beer was better overall. At the price point, it's somewhat of a let down. Age probably did it some favours though.Jimmy wrote:Just threw a bottle of Flying Monkey "The Matador" in the fridge - anyone try it?

Re: Official Rockbottom Brewpub Thread
I picked up a couple of bottles of The Matador and have had one of them so far. Like Jayme, I thought it was by all means a decent beer. But after having their BNL, which I thought was absolutely incredible, I was a little let down by the Matador. Still a decent beer though.

I thought that the cedar was the most interesting part of the beer. The base beer was fine, but not outstanding.Jimmy wrote:Wow, you can really taste the cedar!

Re: Official Rockbottom Brewpub Thread
Agreed. It seems quite bitter without a lot of hop flavor..I guess the cedar makes up for that!jeffsmith wrote:I thought that the cedar was the most interesting part of the beer. The base beer was fine, but not outstanding.Jimmy wrote:Wow, you can really taste the cedar!

Re: Official Rockbottom Brewpub Thread
The firkin cask ale this Saturday @ 1:00 p.m. is.....
Deadwood Wheat aged in the cask on fresh cilantro and coriander.
I've got the good folks in the kitchen to run a Nash'd up version of pulled pork sliders to pair with it
From the bottom up; guac, sliced cuke, RB pulled pork nailed with a little cumin and hot sauce, strawberries and cilantro...
