Re: Official Rockbottom Brewpub Thread
Couple of pints of Fathom, great food, really great company (thanks for joining us). Then took our kid on the Harbour Hopper, playground and dinner on the waterfront. Just got home, knackered (English word) and happy. What a great day!… and I thought I was just delivering a burner.

Sounds like a good day. Good seeing you and the family again, GAM and Chalmers as well. Also, I enjoyed my 14oz of ground beef!

Great to meet/see everyone yesterday. Thanks for the special burger, Nash, sorry that I had to leave in a hurry and missed out on burger number two. And, also sorry for poisoning you, Nash.

What's the firkin for today?
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Re: Official Rockbottom Brewpub Thread
We’re going to the RockBottom for lunch on Saturday 12-1pm. My wife and I come down to Halifax to get our hair cut every 5 weeks, and the Rock bottom for lunch has become part of the routine. Partly because my wife is addicted to Nash’s Fathom. Grrr…she told him it was her favorite beer!
Hoping there might be some Brewnosers there.

What time does music start on Friday evenings at RB? Going to be in town Friday night and planning to grab a bite at either RB or H&T. Anyone care to join? Preference over one or the other?

Looks like a band starting at 9:30pm on Friday, can't quite tell if there will be any music before then.
What time were you planning on hitting downtown?

Maybe start there at 7, and then head to the water when things get musical?

Re: Official Rockbottom Brewpub Thread
Last night Rockbottom was entirely accommodating when two of us showed up and asked if they'd turn the TV to the America's Cup sailing race. A few other patrons watched in awe as the boats sped around the course. With the deciding race tonight at 5 I'm going to extend the invite to everyone. The race lasts about 30 minutes, +/- 5 minutes depending on conditions, so just enough time for a post-work beer.
Brewing right now: whatever is going on tap at Stillwell in a few weeks.
