Unknown film

Post by Bfrail » Mon Nov 21, 2016 6:23 pm

I am trying a new recipie and everything has been malt extract, frozen fruit that was boiled and equipment sterilized and after transferring to my secondary 3 days ago I see this film (see attached picture). My thoughts now are to get it into a keg and hit it with c02.
I'd love to hear some others thoughts?
It is a Christmas ale with a can of nut brown ale, unhooked malt extract, frozen cherries, store bought honey and some Christmas spices like nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon. Any chunks you see are cherries that have been through a blender.

It kinda look like co2 bubbles. Can't really see film on my phone

I wouldn't keg it until it's finished fermenting

Blender was pre boil. It's pretty much fermenting at this point. Just clearing and conditioning now

I can`t really tell, but that kind of looks like an oil to me. Might be from the spices as someone noted.
