I was just given 2 of these keg connectors, as I am planning to make the switch from bottling to kegging. I have some other gear too, but want to make sure these keg connectors are in fact what I think they are. I think they are ball lock, mainly because there is a ball inside each of them, so it seems obvious. But I just want to confirm before looking at kegs.
Not sure if you can tell from pictures or not but here they are.
Thanks!

Re: Ball vs Pin Lock
Okay so I've been doing more research and it looks like the are neither. They are apparently Sanke Couplers. I looked even further into it and apparently they are style "D", which is american. Now the question is, can I purchase kegs for these? or is better to go the cornelius route?

You can purchase sanke kegs - that's what most breweries around use.
I'd go the corny route if it was me. Easier to clean, and easier to purchase in small quantities.

So sanke kegs I'm going to assume are larger than cornelius? I know the ones I see on Kijiji right now are 58.6L. Are most of them around that size?
Maybe I'll just try and sell the connectors that I have. Since I've been planning to start kegging I've always been thinking Cornelius kegs, as they seem the most simple option.

Most that you'll find on kijiji will probably be the 30L or 58L ones, however, 20L sanke kegs can be purchased.
