Hey guys,
Just wondering what everyone is using for a yeast starter calculator? I just looked and there are a lot of different options out there.
Thanks

The above has never failed me. Great for stepping old yeast and I always have a healthy pitch.

I use Brewer’s Friend calculator and Mr Malty but they differ. It doesn’t matter so much but when you are looking to build up 800 billion cells from a 3 month old smack pack the number s come out drastically different after a couple step ups.
I feel like making my own spreadsheet based on recommendations from Chris and Jamils “Yeast” book. Either that or build a sheet specific to the yeast manufacturer with viability estimates based on their suggestions and use that.

Agreed I use the brewunited calculator all the time now, also like how it has the overbuild function if I feel like keeping a bit extra for future batches!
