Just got a shipment from a buddy in Vancouver. Have lots of interesting stuff to try over the next couple weeks for sure. If you happen to be passing through, feel free to drop by and we'll crack something open!PEIBeerGuy wrote:Man, you're welcome here any time! Some nice stuff there.

Had a Fat Tug IPA from Driftwood last night. Such a great beer. It was the first time I'd had it so the dryness caught me a bit off guard at first. The bottle disappeared some quick.

Last night I worked through a 6er of a Simple malt sample pack (Brasseurs Illimités). Golding Pale Ale won the night.

Merry Christmas yourself!
My Mrs. outdid herself this year with some smuggled-to-PEI beers... I'll have to start a thread once I get some pics.
Tonight, I think I'll just have a Gahan IPA - no official review for my site needed. I need a rest!

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Finally having my first beer of the day (shameful I know) DFH clone with substitutions so I'm calling it Robfish Head 60. It's my first all grain (mostly grain, lol - topped up with some LME) and it tastes awesome.

I'm having an IESB tonight. And lots of wine. I'll have the IESBs and spruce to Charlottetown either tomorrow or Tuesday - just waiting on a call with plans for tomorrow night before I decide.PEIBeerGuy wrote:Merry Christmas yourself!

La Trappe Triple for me. Not as good as I remember it, but evoking lovely memories of John Shippey's La Trapped.

Re: What's eveyone drinking tonight?
Actually, it was a 2 beer night after a day X-Country skiing. First up was a Tree Hop Head,
then it was a Lost Coast Winterbraun.
Both delicious in their own way, and we are now well melted after a dip in the hot tub.
Cheers,
JLC
