Regardless of whether or not it's possible for BR to stop these ads I would hope to hear something from explaining their position.

Yeah, as I said, requires input/reaction from BR before you can pass too harsh a judgement (though obviously if that statement doesn't come in a semi-timely manner that speaks volumes on its own)

I wonder if it's Downeast that's looking to replace the brewmaster with a combined store manager/brewmaster: http://www.brewnosers.org/forums/viewto ... =6&t=10097" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;toddthebeerdude wrote:Not sure what happened but Rod Daigle left Downeast Beer Factory (probably not surprising) to join Propeller. "Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Been thinking about it and I am stumped. I know there are about 4 projects going on in the city that won't talk to me. AllNS reports that Downeast Brewery had an "explosion" in one of the kettles in June and the owners are thinking of counter-suing Metro Burner as a result. Metro Burner is currently suing them for ~$30k in unpaid work.

Yup, stick it to the bastards is right! I only wish breweries in NB could follow and do the same to ANBL.

Re: Beer in the news
But it's ok they take 1 million dollars from craft brewers for providing no services, because they spend 50k to market craft beer.
Sadly I'm sure even if they win and it is found current law doesn't allow the Vig from NSLC, rather than it going away the law will be changed to give NSLC the authority to continue collecting.

"There are now 37 microbreweries in Nova Scotia, where there were just a handful less than 10 years ago," she said. The parasites are taking credit for the popularity of craft beer.Toni wrote:Unfiltered suing the LC:

Kde se pivo vaří, tam se dobře daří. Where beer is brewed, life is good.

They don't spend the 50k on marketing, they give it back to the Brewers association. Which isn't all of the breweries by the way.
On tap: Hopped Mead, ESB, Schwazbier
Coming up: Altbier
Fermenting: Maibock

Re: Beer in the news
If they lose the $1 on growlers won't they turn around and restrict sales of alcohol to only NSLC stores?
