That brewery has one of the better stouts (I've only had it served on nitro) I've had in a while, definitely the best I had on the island

"One component requires drivers to have a blood alcohol content within the limits for up to two hours AFTER driving a vehicle."
"That raises all kinds of concerns about when somebody can crack a cold one, but RCMP Staff Sgt. David Ossinger says it’s not something innocent people have to worry about."

not something innocent people have to worry about. I think that was the state motto of East Germany.

Well they did get rid of a bunch of zombie laws, so I guess they can make a couple of new ones?

After looking into the "2 hours after driving" rule, there is an exception in place. Basically they were trying to stop drunk drivers from running into the house and downing a bottle of vodka to "hide" their BAC. Now the code allows those people to still be charged.

The government wrote a poorly worded law that could potentially impact law abiding citizens? Shocking!

Seems like the new law is working as intended

I don't see an issue with this at all. No sarcasm.

If 3 dozen empties is, in his opinion, excessive, I'll be going straight to jail when I cash mine in.

only if the breathalyzer indicates you have a blood alcohol content above the limit. :)

They don't need a reason to give you a breathalyzer, but they do need a reason to stop you. Before they could only test you if they suspected you were under the influence. Seems a bit odd to me as the reason for stopping the guy was very flimsy, unless there's details we're not aware of. Almost like they just wanted to breathalyze somebody and couldn't wait for someone to appear drunk or make an infraction.

Details on the waterfront beer garden bidding process. CPR comes across are a really bitter dude, at least according to the first commenter.

It's funny, no matter how many times I spell it out for interviewers they never seem to tell the story right. We didn't give a rat's that we lost the tender—finding a new space wasn't THAT hard, honestly, and our new spot is better. What pissed me off was that the Goat ripped us off completely (red craft beer shipping container in the exact same location?) and the WDC let it happen. But again, I was mad about this for approx. two months, until we got the new spot open and then (and since then) I honestly couldn't care less. Super-duper old news as far as I (and most readers) are concerned.

"Bringing a different crowd into your brewery is always good … everyone enjoys beer," said Johnson. "It's definitely a positive thing and a plus to have diversity and inclusion in the brewery."

Hopefully Halifax opens up its open liquor laws for Argyle Street and we can have the same issues locally:

I can't wait to see how the provinces will argue this will harm children.
