Same here. Possibly 15 - can't remember if I've had the Hop Rod Rye or not. Also all 7 of the honourable mentions.

Interesting explanation for Blind Pig.

We had the HRR once at Pihney's. S Haynes was quite turned off by it's use of hops. IIRC, you may have been there for that meeting.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

I've had 9. I haven't had Westmalle Tripel, and I haven't heard of some of the others.

I have had 7 out of those, but the best of them all is the one I'm drinking right now... Garrison's Imperial IPA
Man that is one tasty brew. I sure do wish I could get it here regularly, instead of depending on some great friends
who bring such things to me, :rockin:

Just getting a winter warmer into me before I go out to brave the snow to try to clear the driveway of some of
the dump this blizzard deposited so far.

12 maybe 13 (I know I've had a Sierra Nevada, not sure if it was the Pale Ale)

Including the honorable mentions, I've had 10.

I blame it all on the shit selection at the NBLC. :D

That's what I was thinking. Couldn't recall for sure. We'll call it 14.5.

Interesting list, would be fun to do one here on the forum, people would pick their candidates and then the ones mentioned most often would make the list.

I think this particular list is very "american" in my opinion, and some of choices are pretty strange, very questionable how you can acknowledge Hoegaarden only in the service of propping up Allagash White, surely Hoegaarden is more influential then...

I would also replace Ayinger Celebrator with the original dobbelbock, Paulaner Salvator.

I have had 14 of them, have yet to try Hop Rod Rye, Burbon County Stout, New Albion Ale, Blind Pig IPA,the diet beer and Sam Adams Utopia.

Fermenting: Oud bruin/Vienna Pekko SMaSH
On tap: Nelson dry hopped Berliner/ Scottish Heavy 70-/ NE IPA

17 for me, and all the honorable mentions. Not a bad list really. I could pick it apart a little, and there's definitely a couple American ones that seem out of place to me but I'd agree with a lot of them for sure.

beer for thought...

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.
