When living in Chicago several years ago, some friends and I had a running competition of who could bring the worst US made beers to our poker games, so unfortunately I have tried most of the beers in this list. We rated these beers on aroma (stink), taste (gag-ability) and degree of hang-over/head ache induced. Over the course of a few years the top three worst US beers that our small group agreed upon with an honorable mention were:
HM: Hamm's
3) Pabst Blue Ribbon
2) Natty Ice (as noted on this list)
1) Iron City (made from the heavily polluted but iron rich water of Pittsburgh) - This beer got exponentially more disgusting the warmer it got.

lol this might be more important to know than which beers are the best.

I don't really get this list. Most of those on it that I have tried just taste like nothing, they aren't overtly offensive. I'd take a case of Coors Light over a single Bavaria Red 8.0! (If you haven't tried it, it is worth the $3 a can just to experience it's awfulness; it is one of the only beers I have ever dumped.)

It was 1985. We took our first cross border trip to NY State and someone bought a case of Hamms in cans. $4.00 for a case of 24. Cheap price until I had one

Holy crap, it tasted like rusty nails in a bucket or worse.
