Currently in the throes of indecision... what's the best way to store my brews?
I now have an uninsulated space / closet of shelves where our sump pump is, and that's where I'm keeping my beer. Think that should suffice?
I was considering getting a bar fridge, as we're renovating our basement... maybe set up a small counter / sink / fridge / glassware spot. Most fridges under $300 I see seem to have some complaints about temperature variances, though, and being too cold. If I do go this route, anyone have a good recommendation for a bar fridge in that price range, that you would trust for long-term beer storage? Or should I assume my closet is good enough for long-term stuff and only get a fridge if I want it for whatever... "regular" beers, pop, etc.?

If you want the beer to progress and age 45 - 55 F is ideal. If it's not 'cellaring' beer that you are trying to preserve hop aromatics or put into suspended animation then 30 F is the ticket.

Food for thought... I think my shelves in the "sump pump closet" will be pretty much ideal for aging.
Still tempting to have a little bar in the basement, though... hmm... maybe I'll just put a small fridge in a storage room... keep some glassware in there, too.
In a perfect situation, I'd have this:
