Will be in Amsterdam and either Bristol or London and Winchester/South Hampton in the UK in June for work.
Any recommendations on beer/breweries?

"Het Elfde Gebod" (The Eleventh Commandment) in the red light district has an amazing selection of Belgian and Dutch beers. Don't discount the local jenewer bars either- not beer, but something different nonetheless.
I've only ever passed through So'ton, but The Good Pub Guide is an invaluable resource to UK pubs.
(The eleventh commandment? Thou shalt not get caught.)

Ooh. Just noticed the reference to Brizzle- that's my old stomping ground. There is no shortage of good pubs and breweries in the area, but my absolute favourite is The Crown in Churchill, south of Bristol on the A38. You'd hardly believe there is a pub there outside of opening hours, and if you want Sunday lunch you'd better be there by 11:30 if you want parking. They may have as many as four items on the menu, but it's all good. They serve vegetarians too- all the beef on the menu is 100% vegetarian, and if you don't believe me take a stroll across the road. Those heifers will be on the menu soon, and all they eat is pure, organic Mendip meadow.
Butcombe brewery owns a fair few pubs in the area, and they make a good pint. Cheddar is also worth a visit if you fancy a bit of a drive.
The West Country is famous for its cider. All pubs serve it, and you can get it from source from Thatchers Cider in Sandford, about a mile from The Crown towards Banwell on the A370.
Have fun, and have a pint for me.
