I noticed mine coming up yesterday. Looks like at least 2 of the 4 Nugget I planted made it and 1 of the 2 Mt Hood (although I can still see the stem of the other so maybe there's still life below ground). These are in a bed against my house and were under a bed of straw for the winter, which may explain why they've come up so soon. Definitely need to get some new soil into that bed too.

I'll be adding some Cascade and Centennial from Dave's order. Haven't decided whether I'll add them to this bed or put them in containers.

Spent Sunday hauling compost around, got about half the plants (350 or so) mounded up so far. Burying all the extra bines this year for more rhizomes to fill out the yard next year. Hoping for a bumper crop - mother nature owes us one after this winter. Happy growing!

All mine are up about a foot and a half or so aside from one Columbus plant which only has a single, small shoot.

My cascade (planted last year) is huge so far! Need to get something set up for it to climb soon. Here's hoping for lots of hops! :D

Two of my six plants: Cascade and Centennial. Really healthy, strong plants this year's. Seems like it's going to be a good growing season.

What sort of fertility regime are people using? I mostly use compost, but have spread natural seabed calcium-phosphorus, as well as kelp and alfalfa meal in the past.
Edit: this is a good little rundown of plant fertility demands. https://catalog.extension.oregonstate.e ... f/fg79.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That looks awesome Jeff.

I got mine in fairly late and there was only an inch or so showing last weekend. Hoping to see a bit more at the farm this weekend!

Thanks. These are 4 or 5 year old plants so they're pretty well rooted.

Those look great, how tall is the top?

my cascade transplant is a bit better than 8 feet now, my nugget is maybe only 4, and my centennial (planted very late in the season from a rhizome) is a foot or two now.

Goin strong. First time I've been to the 'farm' since the end of may. they were about 2feet tall last I saw them, now well past the 14' mark. I made a lot of hay this week clearing out the rows ;) Unfortunately was sold a lighter grade twine this year; had a lot of bines to pick up and a lot of twine to replace.

Should see bracts soon! Happy farming!

You can get them in early spring usually, keep an eye on kijiji or the maritime hops growers association has a facebook page, and some of their members sell rhizomes. Or you can order online from some places

Yup, getting close up here. I'll probably start harvesting Centennial and Cascade early next week.
