I haven't been there but there was a stand at the Wolfville Farmers Market today. A person could get fairly drunk sampling them all ;)

their liqueurs and brandys are excellent. The rhubarb one in particular is worth keeping in your liquor cabinet.. Over ice, in cocktails, with the strawberry juice leftover from making strawberry shortcakes. So many pleasant summertime drinks. You should make the trip to lunnunburg to see their distillery, it looks like an old barn or maybe a blacksmiths shop. Fleur de sel (nice restaurant in lunnunburg) is closing for a year at the end of the season so if you haven't been to lunnunburg lately now is the perfect time for a day trip.

They also recently came out with gin - I think it's pretty fantastic.

It was an old blacksmith shop originally (Greg Ernst was the last owner - the strong man guy). I am a big fan of the bluenose rum. A shot of that in a coffee is damn good on a cold winter day - also excellent in a dark & stormy (though I guess I'm breaking Goslings trademark in saying that).

Yup that's the guy! His in-laws live next door to my parents back home. Ridiculously cheap if you ever might need some steel welded also. The whole family also sings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlEfK9M7uFQ

When I met him I had now idea that was him. It was at his blacksmith shop and was looking for heavy duty old fashioned barn door hinges I wanted made. He was very gentle natured, and there he is singing along with his family. It clicked when I saw the CBC thing a few years later. Like you say, he charged me next to nothing.

Yup - definitely a straight up honest person with a heart of gold that coincidentally could tear your head off if he wanted haha.

Anyway, I digress. Back to IronWorks - this looks like a cool event they are organizing (I think they're the organizers at least). http://nsspiritsfestival.com/
