Growler Fills in Atlantic Canada

Post by chalmers » Thu Oct 08, 2015 12:29 pm

I wanted to put together a list of all of the breweries, brewpubs, and stores in AtlCan, and finally got off my ass to publish it. Big thanks to ToniA for the push and assistance.

I've published it to the website, and welcome your comments and updates.

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but I think he is going south in 3 weeks... If Facebook is to be believed. Which I do, because it is full of useful conversation and well thought out posts. ;)

It's great Chris. I saw something else that I thought was very good today too. GTA Brew club contacted me. They are setting up an email list so all the brewing clubs in Canada can communicate and work together on different things. I put them in touch with Jimmy and he signed us up. Awesome!

I used the admin@brewnosers email - both rubbertoe and I use that account, so between the 2 of us we should be able to provide any updates.

Thanks guys. Hoping it will get some use. You know, when you're at work and hear about a new beer: "Ah, it's OK, I'll drop by Propeller for a new growler, cuz I can always return it for a refund next visit."

This is great Chris. Just found a brewery in NS I didn't know about. Looks like Nook and Cranny is going to be a stop for me next time I'm in truro

A heads up about them, unless it's changed, they use a DME ferment on premise system using pre-made wort.

Hasn't changed, still FOP. I haven't made it in there myself yet.

SmartBrew / DME

Though, I'm not exactly sure where the wort is produced, but do believe it comes in from PEI.

I've heard reports that the beer is ok. Nothing seriously wrong with it, but nothing that interesting.

Looks like a interesting concept. I look at it like a giant festa kit and a extremely fancy bucket haha.

Cheers! Glad folks are finding it useful. Now that it's set up, I may add the info to the map that I've been helping to curate. Or, if someone else wanted to volunteer a couple of hours of their time... :)
