Little bit of Crystal 30, little bit of Marris Otter, and some EKG hops. Works like a charm!

I used to do this when I first transitioned from kits to steeping grain/extract and mini mash brewing.
What did you end up using? I would add some dark crystal to get some dark fruit flavour and possibly an ounce of roast barley to give come coffee/roast notes. Using an english yeast would help too. Danstar Windosr would be a good dry yeast choice. Also, boiling and adding some hops would freshen up the kit, as the tin cans lose a lot of the hop flavour and aroma during the evaporation process to make them into syrup.
Cheers!

Wow, this is crazy . I just cracked my last one and am drinking it right now as I type. Tastes great.
Looking in my notes from Jan 30/16 I used ......
500 g Cara - pils malt
1 kg of 2 row
500 g dark DME
200 g dextros
1 oz of cascade @ 15
Us-05 (11g package)
1 tsp of Irish moss
1 can of coopers English bitter after cooling
mashed for 60 minutes and full 60 minute boil
Lol , it's quite a recipe but it worked out great.

Now brewing all grain but I may need to revisit some partial brews soon.
