Hello from a new homebrewer
Hi All
Been lurking this site and another forum since I started homebrewing in April. Couple of Brewhouse kits and many Noble Grape recipes later, I made the move to all grain this past weekend. Still need an immersion chiller and grain mill but I'm working on that. Finally signed up looking to meet some fellow homebrewers, participate in some group brew days (if you do them) and group buys.

Welcome.
Be sure to check out the events section and group buy section for upcoming events as well as great deals on equipment and supplies.
Hoptoberfest is coming up and would be a good spot to meet up with some of the members, check out the discussion in the events forum.

Re: Hello from a new homebrewer

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Re: Hello from a new homebrewer
Welcome. No proper group brew days, but I and others have put up an invite for guys to drop by during a brewday, with great success.
And we do have a Group Buy forum, just look for it down near the bottom of the front page.

At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.
