New, from Herring Cove
Hi Everyone,
New to the forum here, I've brewing ciders for around a year and am planning to enter the world of home brew beers!
Planning to start with a malt extract kit, then moving right into all grain brewing.

Welcome! What form of ciders have you been making? (ie: kits or...)

Re: New, from Herring Cove
I've been making them mostly from apple juices, with a few flavour variants (maple, dark molasses, lime).mikeorr wrote:Welcome! What form of ciders have you been making? (ie: kits or...)
A friend and I have also experimented with a hopped/malt cider that we're working out a good recipe for. There is also a first batch of experimental gingerbeer fermenting!
edit: I should at least answer that I have not ever used a kit.

...a bit late but what the hey...
Hey Aiden, welcome!
Where in Herring Cove are you brewing? I live (brew) on St. Paul's.
I just put on my first Cider, just doing 1 gallon for now, if I don't get botulism I'll tweak it and make larger batches later.
Cheers!

Hello, Cider is really catching on commercially and for home brewers. Might be time to start a cider section on here?
Welcome.

Yeah I think that would be a good idea. I just started into the cider world myself a few weeks ago with a couple of one gallon batches from juice bought at the market. I'm looking forward to tasting the results!GuingesRock wrote:Hello, Cider is really catching on commercially and for home brewers. Might be time to start a cider section on here?
