Hay all,

New to the area and new to brewing beer. I never thought a Kegerator would be an expected wedding gift, but I`ve been wrong before, and now I have a kegerator. Any help with regards to connecting the lines from th keg to the tap and the CO2 canister would be greatly appreciated.

I`ve done wine many time before, but never beer. Really excited to have beer on tap!

A Kegerator sounds like a pretty damn awesome wedding gift to me As for hooking it up, it's not difficult but it does depend on what type of connection/fitting is provided. That's a traditional (North American) style sanke fitting, it's what most of the breweries and bars all use. It's handy in that there's just a single connection to a keg, and you connect both the CO2 line and beer line to that fitting. Most homebrewers use the old Cornelius "corny" kegs (what Coke and Pepsi used to use for soda machines), and they have 2 fittings that look like: https://www.everwoodavebrewshop.com/pro ... as-barbed/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; where there's 1 for CO2 and 1 for the beer line.

In the end, they're both pretty much the same - you connect the beer line to the faucet and the appropriate fitting on the keg, and the CO2 line from the canister to the appropriate fitting on the keg. The only difference is what the fittings look like. That was more information than I expected, and it answered all of my kegerator questions!

This will certainly make my first batch successful...even if that only means i have super easy access to it hahaha.

Now...I just need a keg....
