Hello from Lower Sackville
I've been brewing for a bit over two years now with a combination of Festa Brew kits and some extract / grain kits from Noble Grape. I definitely enjoy the hobby. Recently I've started to experiment with some all grain 1-gallon batches based on the Brooklyn Brewshop's "Beer Making Book". I have to say, I'm hooked!

Can't say I'm impressed much with your choice of sports teams, but I've noticed that Leaf fans are so by breeding, not by choice.

GO SENS GO!

Seriously, though

Saw that same Jersey in Montreal when my wife (an unfortunate Habs fan) and I were in Montreal to see Leafs vs Habs a few years back ... got a picture of the guy ... wasn't you, was it?

No sorry, not me. Leafs fan married to a Habs fan - Wow! I'm married to a Habs fan too, however, I'm a Sens fan (even though Ottawa only got a team after I left home).LeafMan66_67 wrote:Saw that same Jersey in Montreal when my wife (an unfortunate Habs fan) and I were in Montreal to see Leafs vs Habs a few years back ... got a picture of the guy ... wasn't you, was it?

Welcome... you might say I'm a leafs fan, but really, I'm a fan of any club that has a Newfoundlander on the team. Go Sens.

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

With a new coach coming in on the road, I don't hold out much hope for the Leafs tonight ... figure they'll crawl back up to 9th again and screw up their draft picks anyway!LiverDance wrote:I got 2 bombers of homebrew that says the Habs win tonight

Re: Hello from Lower Sackville
Can't remember exactly how I found the site - I've known about it and the club for years - just never did anything about it. I think I saw it mentioned recently on RockBottom or Nash blog and it tweaked my interest a bit more. Forum looks great with lots of great insight.mr x wrote:I'm always curious how you found us.
Will do once I get time to go back to the blog - thanks for the reminder!KMcK wrote:Nice blog. Why don't you add a link to this site?
