Hello Everyone
I've been brewing kits and extract/steeped grain recipes for the past few years. I just recently made the step into all grain brewing and I am loving the flexibility and creativity it gives you to put together some great beers. I just entered my second batch into the Garrison Home Brew Off, which was a cool experience. It was great to get some professional feedback on where you need to improve.
I was looking for a good site to expand my brewing knowledge and just happened to stumble on to this site. Pretty cool that it's local. See you guys around the forums.

Re: Hello Everyone

Were you down at Garrison last night? Did you meet any Brewnosers? I think we made up about 50% of the attendance

Re: Hello Everyone

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

I was at Garrison last night. I didn't even know this group existed until this afternoon.

At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.
