Hello From Sambro Area!
Hello everyone! I've been brewing all-grain for almost a year now, and I finally got around to joining!
Have made:
-Rye IPA (a couple variations)
-Experimental Rye/Wheat
-Dark (almost Porter) Red Ale
I have also made some ciders/apple wine, and a hopped/malted cider (graff), as well as a couple wine kits.
Would like to try making a Lager, and a Belgian and/or German wheat beer, but currently I have no means of controlling fermentation temperature.
Cheers!
Dan

Re: Hello From Sambro Area!
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.

Welcome aboard!
A swamp cooler can help to keep your fermentation vessel cool, but does require a bit of work replacing the ice.

Thank you for the suggestion! Looks like it will do the trick. Now I just need to find room in my freezer for frozen water bottles.chalmers wrote:Welcome aboard!

I say have a big BBQ of all the frozen meat and other stuff in there, and invite us over! Makes more room for hops, too!oman wrote:Thank you for the suggestion! Looks like it will do the trick. Now I just need to find room in my freezer for frozen water bottles.chalmers wrote:Welcome aboard!
