Not your average brewer - Halifax

Post by teanorth » Sat Mar 04, 2017 9:36 am

Hi there Brewnosers!
My name is David, I am the Director of Operations/Owner at Tea North - Organic Iced Tea.
We are not your average brewer, but very similar to beer, as a lot of our processes, and 99% of our equipment is beer equipment.

We boil water with a Grainfather Sparge Water Heater. We use corny kegs to carbonate our iced tea, in a modified chest freezer, with an STC-1000 digital temperature controller.
We use CO2 tanks, and regulators.
We use a Counter Pressure Bottle Filler, Glass beer/soda style bottles, crown caps and a super grifo capper.

It is a small operation, only a year old, but growing fast.
If we don't have, and can't find, the equipment we need, we just DIY build it.

I'm looking forward to talking with some brewers and bouncing ideas off each other.
:cheers3:
