It's entirely possible I've introduced myself before as I once logged into Brewnosers out of interest and then hadn't brewed or really followed up in a long time. I am back now, homebrewing more regularly and really looking forward to getting a little more serious with it -- maybe entering some contests this year etc. At the end of the day, like all of us, I just enjoy a great cold beer.
I was born in Halifax drinking terrible lagers and thinking that's all the world hat to offer. Going outside the box was "Coronna" for a long time and then my wife and I moved to Vancouver. If you've never been there, the west coast is beer shangri-la and I am happy to say that just 5 years after coming back East Halifax and NS in general is on exactly the same path. In fact, I'd argue, we've got some of the best beer in Canada here.

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Welcome (back)!
What style of beer(s) are you brewing these days? Anything influenced by your time on the lesser coast?
