Recently I tried homebrew for the first time in my life. I could not beleive the taste it was amazing, so last week I bought the basic kit for making homebrew off of kijiji. Excited to find this site and forums seems like a good group of people. :D

Welcome, it's a great hobby and very rewarding!

Did you put your first batch on yet? Ask some questions here, there's lot of experience on hand.

Yes my first batch is on just went into the carboy last night. Got plastic bottles with my kit but I hear that glass is much better for the taste and the beer is colder. So I am trying to find some good resealable glass bottles so I do not have to worry about bottle caps. I went to noble grape and got the brown ale festa kit. I am in Birch Bear Woods subdivision so very close to Westwood, good to see a local brewer. Next batch I will try doing the grains etc instead of the abra-ca-dabra box of beer.

Ambitious :-) It only took me about 20 years to go from kits to grain. When shopping at Noble Grape, ask for the Brewnoser discount

I'm in Highland Park, so not too far away either.

Are you still brewing? Haven't noticed you around on the forums lately?
