Hi im jon, nice to meet you all
I'm relatively new to brewing so I'm interested in using a sanke 15.5 keg I've had for a while and making 3, 5 gallon batches in my 9 gallon boil fermenting them seperate and then kegging and carbonating them all at once. My question is will this work out or just ruin 15 gallons of beer? I have one corney keg but I want to put a batch of American stout in it that is why IDE like to us the sanke keg.
Any thoughts or help is appreciated. I'm also interested in some ball lock corney's if anyone has some for sale close by.
Looking forward to reading more posts
Talk you you all soon

If I understand correctly - you want to brew the same 5 gallon recipe 3 times, ferment them separately and then combine again to serve out of the sanke. As long as the 3 batches are done fermenting at roughly the same time (+/- a couple days) and all added to the keg at the same time, I don't see a problem. I assume you plan to use the same yeast strain to ferment all 3 batches too...

That is correct, I am planning on brewing the three batches within 24 hours and then pour into the keg at the same time.
Thanks for the help with this and yes I will be using all the same ingredients in each of the batches.

Welcome!

If you have time on Tuesday, the PEI folks are getting together for the monthly meeting. Bring a fave beer (homebrew or not) or snack to share and shoot the shit.
