Any of you guys buying into the so-called "social media?"

FB may actually serve a practical purpose for organizing tastings/trades/etc or just general bullshitting.
Post a link to your FB if you wish.
Edit: Well it appears as though there is already a FB group for BN'ers, in fact, I am in it.

A while back I added a section to the profiles on the forums to post your facebook profile link. The information on how to add it is found
here
It will add a facebook icon below your name whenever you post on the forum.

Facebook is a closed system that not everyone wants to get into. If it gets used to do something that this website/forum can't, so be it, but be sure to report back here with what's going on so the rest of us don't miss out.

That's true, if you've managed to hold out this long,
do not sign up for this god-forsaken succubus.
Those of you who are registered can feel free to add me:
http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001566406163" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
At the very least, it's free bandwidth for hosting photos/etc.

I think you guys may have added your facebook profiles wrong. All you need is the very end of the link when you're on your profile. See the image below, the part you want is what I have highlighted in the address bar up top.

So I just read some discussions regarding the facebook mod, and apparently there are 2 different styles for facebook profile links. I guess there is somewhere that you can create a nickname for your facebook account (I don't remember doing it, but apparently I did). This mod will only work for people who have the updated facebook link that includes their nickname at the end. I will leave it in place for now and hopefully they update the mod to fix this.

The link is
http://www.facebook.com/username/ if you'd like to create a personalized, unchangeable username for your account. (Bonus: you won't have to type your email address to log in any longer!)

Cut out everything at the beginning of your link. You have
http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001566406163" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. All you need is profile.php?id=100001566406163 and it'll work. Don't put the forward slash in either. Just everything starting with profile.php
