Re: Hello from Horton Ridge Malt
What are the colour ranges for your malts, what are your bags like, and may I ask what the variety of barley is?
and lastly what days of the week are you open for tours.

Re: Hello from Horton Ridge Malt
Our Munich is Newdale and the color is 6.7
The base pale malt and Vienna are both from Meredith. The color for the Vienna is 3.5. The Pale is 3.2. Meredith tends to result in a slightly darker malt compared to other grains.
Our bags are 25 kgs, woven poly with a poly liner.
We are open for tours at any time by appointment. 902-266-6258 or 902-719-6258

Re: Hello from Horton Ridge Malt
I visited this facility last week, got a tour (thanks again for that!), and picked up some pale malt. What a spot! This whole area is crazy beautiful. I mean, look at this place!
I highly recommend a visit... I will definitely be going back next time I'm in the area. Getting to see the malting process was an awesome experience - and I can't wait to try out brewing with the malt!
