I'm new here
Hey
I've just moved to Halifax from Vancouver, and figured I'd introduce myself. I've been a home brewer for a whole bunch of years, and a professional brewer for a few years. I am super excited about how much people seem to love good beer out here (I was at the Full House on Saturday and it was stupidly busy)! Looking forward to meeting some of you at upcoming meetings.
I'm also a part of opening up a new brewery in Halifax, hopefully in early fall. Once it's up and running, I can definitely help out with group buys of malt, etc, and any time any brewnosers want a bit of yeast slurry you'll be more than welcome to come on by.
cheers
Jeremy

Re: I'm new here
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Re: I'm new here
The brewery is going to be called 2 Crows Brewing, located on Brunswick. Starting lineup is still getting dialled in a little, but it's looking like we'll be doing an Oat Pilsner, Table Beer, NorthEast IPA, and probably one more yet-to-be-decided (got any suggestions??). Hoping to have lots of one-offs and seasonals, and we're going to be canning too.GAM wrote:Tell us more please.jeremytaylor wrote:I'm also a part of opening up a new brewery in Halifax, hopefully in early fall.

Nope, further south than there. About a block North of the Citadel.GAM wrote:Can't wait. North Brunswick or?
