So, I decided to pick one up. Hoping to catch when the others go on sale, and I'll come in for a price adjustment. Or if I miss that, return it. They now have 5 in stock, including the demo unit.

Ps. Dartmouth confirmed they were out, despite what the local warehouse told me. Does not show as $599 in their system, probably because the $449 price lasted less than a day.

Can you take your receipt from Halifax and get a price adjustment at the Dartmouth location?

I think there's (at least) two things against me there:
(a) no stock in Dartmouth (was told price adjustment is very difficult once all stock is depleted)
(b) price shows up as $599 in computer at Dartmouth store. Would have to catch the manager who approved the deal and convince him to adjust price for another store, and I've come to realize they aren't as closely tied as I'd thought.

I had a similar discussion over the phone when I called the HFX store. They were totally unwilling to do anything with the price at the HFX store.

They really do work as two separate entities - we buy our eggs from there - different brands between the two stores

I did, at 599. I'm leaving it in box until I (a) price match against a sale and will use, or (b) return for a refund.

Arg. Was out of town until this afternoon. Just called Costco Halifax, and apparently they're all sold out. That means price adjustment is going to be difficult to impossible... I'll brave the crowds there Sat, but in case I come up short, does someone want to buy it from me, rather than me returning it? $599+tax=$690.

Now that they're sold out you could get $800 for it!

The crowd shouldn't be bad if you get there when it opens.

Took JamieD's receipt in this morning, and confirmed they will not price match/adjust with no stock in the warehouse. The person said they were expecting more this week, but I'm not so sure about that. I'll let folks know if that is true.

Having said that, I set up the beast this afternoon, thanks to LD for some heavy lifting assistance.

Best place/site to get the necessary accessories? Pizza stone, other important stuff?
