As in the same one that came with it? I wouldn't want one... junk!canuck wrote:Does anyone know if you can purchase replacement side tables for the Kamado?
We sell the side shelves – they are $74.38 for two with $30.00 for shipping to Canada. If you wish to purchase these, please call our office and we can process a credit card.
Mine takes between 2 and three hours to get below 150°F, where it's safe to put on the cover.chalmers wrote: Is it just me, or does everyone's grill stay hot for a couple of hours after closing both top and bottom vents off? I should be happy that the thing is so well insulated it takes a while to die down, but I want to be sure I'm not wasting fuel or time.
Mine is about 2 hours after a burger or steak cook or 3 after a pizza cook.jeffsmith wrote:Mine takes between 2 and three hours to get below 150°F, where it's safe to put on the cover.chalmers wrote: Is it just me, or does everyone's grill stay hot for a couple of hours after closing both top and bottom vents off? OK, glad to know I'm not crazy, and thanks for the info re: when it's safe to put on the cover. Didn't want to find out the hard way that 200F is too hot!LeafMan66_67 wrote:Mine is about 2 hours after a burger or steak cook or 3 after a pizza cook.jeffsmith wrote:Mine takes between 2 and three hours to get below 150°F, where it's safe to put on the cover.chalmers wrote: Is it just me, or does everyone's grill stay hot for a couple of hours after closing both top and bottom vents off? Like this?jeffsmith wrote:I still use my KJ deflector with the pizza stone right on top of it. Haven't had any issues with my gasket really other than when a friend or family member decides to whip the cover open to take a look without burping the lid.
That's the one. Cheaper from bbqs.com in Ontario though, I believe.chalmers wrote:Like this?jeffsmith wrote:I still use my KJ deflector with the pizza stone right on top of it. I'm looking at cutting a maple (hardwood) copy.RubberToe wrote:As in the same one that came with it? I wouldn't want one... junk!canuck wrote:Does anyone know if you can purchase replacement side tables for the Kamado?
I'd rather build a table.
Thanks! Couldn't find that one, but did find this, looks cool (once in stock): http://www.bbqs.com/classic-joe-flexibl ... -rack.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;jeffsmith wrote:That's the one. I wouldn't hold your breath on that one. I've been waiting at least four months and it's not come in stock.chalmers wrote:Thanks! Yeah that's not a bad idea.GAM wrote:I'm looking at cutting a maple (hardwood) copy.
Sandy
I'd forgotten about CGS. Going to have to take a closer look at that again.Jimmy wrote:The Vision Woo Ring looks like a decent setup and it's only $79 with the 13" stone and stainless drip pan.

Totally. For one heat deflector you're near doubling your cost to ship it here.LeafMan66_67 wrote:I found shipping from CGS to be expensive - they have some nice stuff though.
Agree that the divide and conquer looks awesome, but I thought that the KJ stuff doesn't fit as well in a Vision -- something about the grills rocking a little when the KJ deflector is in because of the gauge of the KJ and there not being any cutouts in the Vision firebowl. That may have only applied to the original KJ deflector or I may have misunderstood something.jeffsmith wrote:I'm still not 100% sold on the CGS rigs. The reason I really like the KJ divide and conquer solution is because of the half moon accessories—mostly the half moon flat top (for cooking burgers, mostly). I think I'd be out on a CGS group buy and wait until the KJ accessories are more widely available in Canada.
