Good deal on lump from Argentina

Post by mr x » Wed Nov 02, 2011 4:08 pm

Anybody see any good deals on lump or good quality briquettes? Haven't been in to WM lately, but they usually start making down their inventory around this time of year.

AH, I hardly ever go there. Go figure me not getting it. Plus I am stunned most of the time anyhow.

There is this guy on kijiji. you have probably seen it. Not sure on the charcoal, haven't used this stuff before.

I've been checking WM weekly and it wasn't on at the bedford walmart ltwo weeks ago.. will check again this week and regularly... also CT had lowered there price to $6.47 for the 15.6lb Royal Oak briquettes... but haven't been there in about a month to see if its still on.

that argentinian kijiji add lump... looks good... big pieces like that would be good... maybe we can get him down for a group buy? :spilly:

That guy has had them posted up there for quite a while now, i thought about grabbing a bag for giggles but I still have quite a bit left from last falls haul. I was in Walmart today at hfx shopping center and they didn't have any out, not one bag. Hopefully they didn't get smart and start storing it for the winter instead of clearing it out which they have done for at least the last 4 yrs running chain-wide at $4/10 lb bag of royal oak natural lump. it's a smoking deal so I usually grab about 40 bags of it :)

Sent me an e-mail today:
Good morning, I have several pallets which I keep at home. I will always have at least 500 KG in stock. I have not run out in three years since I moved to the province.

I competed in BBQ competition and understand the importance of having good quality and quantity charcoal on hand at all times.

How much do you need?

Call me
Off to NG this morning, but may look at grabbing some in the next couple weeks.

We were just putting out feelers. I'd be down for 3 bags of 25lb lump to start. I'll be away for a few days, so I'll let the rest of the guys throw out their needs and see where we get.

And... :welcome: :grilling:
