I'm not sure if it's just me or not, but it seems like the vast majority of home brewers are also really well versed in a kitchen as well. I cook virtually 100% of the meals in our house. It's not that my wife can't cook, because she can cook up some amazing dishes, but it's mainly because I enjoy it so much. I also work from home full time so it's also convenient to start preparing supper before everyone gets home. Anyways, it's just something that I've really noticed in the home brewing community, that not only can the guys brew up a damn fine beer, but they are also pretty fine chefs as well. I think that it's pretty evident in the "what's cooking thread".

Yeah, that`s just the way it goes.

I'm not much in the way of a cook.
And I'm sure most would agree I'm not much in the way of a brewer.

Sure. But you more than make up for it by being such a fine eater and drinker.
