HRM restaurant review

I noticed we don't have a thread for reviewing tasty places to eat. I saw X's comment about the bicycle thief and it made me realize we should have a community review thread. I know as an out of town-er it is helpful to have some idea where to eat in town, outside my normal destinations. So lets hear it, where do you like to eat and why?

I eat at Nomad Gourmet all the time. It's awesome food and they treat me like family.

Looking forward to it next time I am in the city.

I'll chime in, your Bicycle Thief thread got my brain churning. I've been to Bistro Le Coq three times and have always had at least one item that was really well done, and nothing was ever poorly done. So if you're looking to burn a little cash that's a good spot. If it's a night where the Neptune has a show and you're not going, aim to arrive around 7:30 or 8 and there will be tables. They get swarmed when there are shows playing.

One of the grain mill buyers (Jeramy I believe) told me about a new Mexican place in Dartmouth... anyone else know anything about it?
I've been to La Perla in Dartmouth a few times and I love it... I think it's Northern Italian cuisine. I always get the calamari and tiger shrimp to start, and most times I get the peppercorn beef with a dry red wine

Is La Perla still affiliated with Da Maurizio? Or am I confusing it with another place in Dartmouth?

I think that was me telling you about Habaneros and it's awesome. I think I'll grab some grub there tonight!

Habaneros; good flavour, fairly fresh ingredients.. only soft flour tortillas is a huge downer though! Not worth going until (if) they get corn tortillas (and I'm not talking the stupid taco bell hard shell ones either!).

Yeah I'd love to see them get corn tortillas.

If I want to go out for some BBQ, are the Q or Boneheads any good? I'm thinking of going there tonight.
Thanks,

Agreed both are good. However, stay away from Woody's in Dartmouth Crossing. I think its a chain restaurant. We went once and were not impressed.

Just had a great experience at the Split Crow 2 in Bedford - apparently Tuesday is wing night ... nice size wings, 12 make a meal at $0.49 each, more importantly they have both Garrrison and Propeller on tap (Prop IPA was great) as well as the John Shippy selections. It was a nice surprise.

I can see why they'd try to franchise/expand the Crow, but I still find it difficult to believe the one in Wentworth will "fly", even with the ski hill there. Though I suppose the motel has managed to survive and provides a captive audience.

Relish.
I can't suggest this place. You can get better and cheaper burgers at almost any restaurant, much less another 'gourmet burger' place. The toppings are interesting (and somewhat tasty), but the atmosphere is terrible, and the burgers were thin and overcooked (certainly not worth the $13-14 each).
Save your money, there are at least a dozen places off the top of my head where you can get better and less expensive burgers. Hell, the burgers at the Rock Bottom blow this place out of the water.
