It is listed on the sign as a $3 instant rebate, not as a clearance. That usually means you are paying the HST on the full price.

And generally at costco, prices ending in $0.97 are clearance. But...if they are out of visions, why sell the fuel...

Re: Good Lump Charcoal
They should have the fuel there all spring/summer/fall. I can understand not having it in the winter but getting rid of it just because they don't have any grills would be stupid lol

At Costco, you can tell if the product is being cleared out / no longer available if there's an asterisk (*) at the upper right corner of the pricing tag.

Re: Good Lump Charcoal
If you were planning a trip to Costco in Bayers Lake to take advantage of this price save yourself a trip. They've got about two dozen bags…paid for and sitting on a cart awaiting pickup. None on the floor. Wouldn't be surprised if the same person did the same at the Dartmouth location.
Bummed that I wasn't quick enough but hopefully I can save someone else the aggravation.

Good Lump Charcoal
Confirmed.
More than half of two pallets out at Dartmouth. Receipt says 12.49 - 3.00 for each bag. So it wouldn't appear to be disco'd at the Dartmouth store anyway.
And if 5 bags can't get me through the summer I may be grilling too much
Thanks for the heads up!!

Re: Good Lump Charcoal
No shortage of it here year round either really but I stock the fuck up when it's on sale. I still have 100 lbs left from what I bought on sale between the two places last April. Re: Good Lump Charcoal
I ran out of the Costco charcoal back in the fall (because I was a dubmbass and didn't stock up) and I've been buying the Royal Oak stuff from CT all winter. I'm back on the Costco charcoal and can't believe the difference. I find the Costco charcoal gets up to temp WAY quicker and also gets MUCH hotter than the Royal Oak stuff. Definitely plan on stocking up this summer from Costco.

Re: Good Lump Charcoal
I prefer Royal Oak a little more but it's just personal preference. Generally if it lights quicker and burns hotter it also burns up faster; it's been more carbonized. Type of wood and density has a bearing as well, but yeah, I like 'em both and use them both. Bust out the Maple Leaf now and then for something too. They're all different. And good. Re: Good Lump Charcoal
anyone know where the best price is on kingsford briquettes? I find they hold a stable low temp better than the lump does, at least in my WSM.
