Check out what I scored on kijiji. $20. Rival vintage hand crank meat slicer. I'll be testing it on some pastrami later.

Nice - wife's family gave me the challenge to produce Montreal Smoked Meat for next summer's party - told wife I would need slicer to help practice and she thought I was nuts!

Looks in great shape, Rob.

I have had a Rival electric one for the past 20 years or so and find it excellent. It is one like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/TOASTMASTER-ELE ... 1c35a47c93" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Easy to clean and has stayed sharp all this time. I use it to slice meat mostly, but have also used it for veggies etc. Really nice for cutting even slices of meat for jerky.

mines no where near as nice, but having a slicer is a godsend, makes shaving meats and slicing bacon and such so easy.
