Did you buy the seeds, or pic them up from other people?

I would take you up on that!Keggermeister wrote:I harvest what I can for seeds every year.
Can hook you up with a bunch of San Marzano and Organic Roma seeds if you need. I have lots of those. Also have lots of Oregano seed that I harvested, that stuff was a bugger to thresh being so tiny.

I have raised beds and use black plastic mulch. My beds are ready 2 weeks earlier than most...spears104 wrote:Might be a little early for tomatoes. I have always found 8 weeks out was just right for starting toms.

Even with the higher soil temps you must still have to keep an eye out for frost. How do you protect them?Keggermeister wrote: I have raised beds and use black plastic mulch. My beds are ready 2 weeks earlier than most...
Am also toying around with the idea of doing a hot bed this year with some fresh manure in the bottom of the beds. That will be a lot of work though.
The fresh manure composts under the soil and heats it up through convection.
I really do need a mini excavator...
