I have a request from a family member about making pasta. Anybody have any input on machines?

Marcato Atlas 150. One of the few machines still made in Italy and it's decently priced. We love ours.

Yeah, saw that one. This one is about same price factoring in free shipping:

We have a hand crank one and one for the kitchen aide, we no longer use the hand crank one because the kitchen aide one is much much less hassle

OK, I have a kitchen aid, but am also considering if I need something portable.

My hand crank one is a huge PITA to mount, I don't know about other ones, I would rather drag my kitchen aide around rather than try and suction cup mount or c clamp it onto something. There's also an even more simple approach, a really heavy rolling pin and a knife :rockin: :rockin:

I've got kitchen cart that's got a nice thick top on it that my manual one mounts to nice and slick.
