Greg's guy will sell 100' rolls and says "The price will be much better than buying them individually".

Do we want a quote for 300'and split the cost?

I can measure and cut.

That's perfect! Also, the measurements I gave are for precut Oval XL size which is much larger diameter than Eggs and Vision Kamados. Sooooo, cut them to size with a few inches to spare and you'll end up with a few extra sets worth :cheers2:

I made the assumption this GB/list is for the Cotronics one, hopefully I got that right.

With proper use and care (ie, proper installation and not treating it like shit), can we expect many good years from it? As in, "this is the one I want to buy, don't bother looking elsewhere", right?
That's right. I've had mine on for at least four yrs I think. And I abuse it :lol:

It 'should' be the last gasket you ever buy, barring trouble stemming from installation. The gasket itself will never fail. Ever.

Cool, because all of a sudden my factory one is shot in a few places and is costing me charcoal.

Only issue is I don't have PayPal. I can get him an USD cheque and mail it, but that will take longer.

IIRC you can pay with PayPal without an account, using your credit card.

If thats the case I'm good.

Total Gass in Burnside has an equivalent for $6.00 for 5’ and they have it in stock. $306.

I'm waiting on the US guy's price and we can argue over it.

From Brian (US guy).

I can’t give you a final price for shipping until the package is made up and I have a weight, but I can guesstimate it and get somewhat close. Just understand, this IS NOT a final price. That will come right before I ship and you pay.

I can sell rolls @ $72 each. That would be $216 for 3 rolls. That’s a savings of at least $36 per roll, more savings if you have Juniors that need gasketing and can use the bit that’s at the end of a roll. That’s a firm price and it won’t be subject to change.

I used 7# as the shipping weight, that is what could vary. I just charge what it costs. It might be more, or might be less, depending on what it takes to make sure the rolls won’t get destroyed in shipping. USPS wants $64 to ship 7# to you.

You’d be responsible for any duties or whatever incurred by it crossing the border. But find out when they kick in (is it $100?) . I can make the customs slip show what I want it to show.

216 +64 +Duty= 280 + Duty fro 300'.

Merchandise under $20cad, or gift under $60cad and there should be no fees at the border.

Deal sounds good to me. I could probably take one of the ends of the rolls too as one of the grills is the smaller M Series.

$360 for 300 ft, plus tax. Would they budge on price for that qty?

If that's the alternative price, I'm definitely in for the US pricing.

My suggestion is to not start cutting it up until people give exact lengths, as we'll have different requirements.

Fitted lengths will mean more gaskets from the roll.

I was waiting for the US quote. It sounds like the bulk price is $6/5'.

The US quote is exactly what Greg and others have used and it's proven.

I can't even guess on the charge for duty.

Do we have a vote to decide?

There should most likely be no duty, only $8 + 15% tax from canada post. I haven't done many orders from the US lately, but $64 sounds high to me...but split this many ways, I don't really care either.

Hopefully he'll mark "Made in USA" to avoid duty, and he charges us what he pays for shipping.

$64 from USPS just sounds wrong. I seem to remember a medium flat rate box to Canada costing about $25. I agree with X on the duty.

Under the provisions of the Postal Imports Remission Order, if someone mails you an item worth CAN$20 or less, you don’t have to pay duty or taxes on the item. If the item is worth more than CAN$20, you must pay the applicable duty, the GST or HST, and any PST on the item’s full value.
http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/import/posta ... s-eng.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If you receive an imported gift by mail that is worth CAN$60 or less, you will not have to pay duty or tax on it.
http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/import/posta ... x-eng.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That shipping doesn't seem extreme, assuming its larger then a medium flat rate box (Small ~$20, medium ~$42, large ~$56). I order from the US alot, and have gotten worse.
