I only use mine for overflow for cooking veggies and such. The side burner comes in handy as well.

Ripped the side burner off mine and yes I use it more cause I need the space. 20+ people and a 16" grill is a challenge.

I gave away my gas grill last year after using it once since I got the Vision. I've cooked for 30+ with the help of my WSM. I now have three charcoal fires appliances out back - Vision kamado, WSM and a Weber 22" kettle.

I thought they went under? Or did they just lose their distributions?

I too sold my gasser about two weeks after I got my BGE , I still have a weber too but I don't think I've light it in 4 years.

They're alive and well and will be for a long time to come I expect. The patented oval design really gives them an edge that won't soon be duplicated. The Sackville NB distributor dropped them because they didn't know how to sell them or who to sell them to.

Just order direct from Primo. They'll likely send it down from their distributor in QC. :cheers2:

Everyone in the Maritimes is shut-down on selling Primo Grills because the only distributor dropped 'em. I have no idea what the deal is with a 'dealer' getting good outs of the QC distributor or straight out of Atlanta but I expect shipping would drive the cost to the point of no longer being feasible to sell at Primo's suggested retail. The distributors would bring them in by the tractor-load so shipping would be minimal. As far as I know all previous dealers are sold out, a couple friends called around last summer/fall, everybody freaked out and slashed them to clear them out. I've never seen a dealer here that had a sweet clue what the hell they even were though

Going to put a bug in the ear of one of the pool places in Moncton that I go to. They started carrying some sort of Kamados last summer. Can't for the life of me remember the brand name.

My comment about the oval has nothing to do with space really, the extra space is fucking handy though. I used to have a BGE, they're fucking amazeballs. Just not as amazeballs as Primo oval grills, with tweaks, add-ons or anything else. You know how you haven't lit the Weber since the BGE? Well, I never lit the BGE after Primo. The oval is just that epic. Not just that big. That epic. That's right. :o

Why? It would be nice to have a local dealer, the lame distributor dropping out was, well, lame.

Back in the day we just called Primo. A week later you have an epic grill.

Trying to head shipping costs off at the pass though it's likely not going to be that much different when dealer markup is considered.
