Corn Tortillas

Post by Taylor Vanbrewer » Thu Jan 07, 2016 2:07 pm

Ok, hate to have to do this again (after just asking about where to get cow tongue) but does anyone know where I can get a stack of corn tortillas in this town? Cafe Aroma is closed til the 19th, and sobeys only has packs of 12 for $5 a bag which feels a little like robbery.

You could buy some masa harina corn flour and make your own. Guess it depends on what your time is worth.

I also make my own, dead easy and way cheaper/better than any grocery store bought I have tried. I can lend you a press if you need. Also braised beef tongue tacos are amazing!

Yeah, I have made my own before and was really happy with the results but making enough for 12 people is more work than I feel like signing on for.

BTW Found packs of 36 white corn tortillas for 3.99 at Mexico Lindo, which was awesome. Unfortunately the burrito I had from there was not as awesome. Checked Pete's as well, they are worse than Sobeys selling 8 for $5ish.
