Donair sauce

Post by sleepyjamie » Tue Apr 05, 2016 11:19 am

Gonna make some home made donairs for some of these un-educated priviliged albertans. Anyone have an authentic east coast donair sauce recipe? I like my donair sauce to be on the thicker side.

Find Nash's donair thread, it's in there.

As an aside, back before I moved to NS I decided to make homemade donairs, having never tried the East Coast variety (or even being aware that they existed). Found a recipe online, and didn't really think about the ingredients when I was putting it together. Let's just say that the sauce, which I expected to taste like regular garlic sauce, was "surprising" (AKA disgusting!) to an uninitiated BC boy. Love the stuff now, though.
