Garrison and Phillips make collaboration brew

Starting today - right now - Matt Phillips of BC's Phillips Brewing and Garrison's brewmaster are working on a "east meets west mash-up" Belgian IPA, which should be released in two weeks time. Matt is a great guy and we're very exicted about this!
Big plans are underway for the launch party. This afternoon, feel free to stop by the brewery between 4 and 6 p.m. to meet the brewer and grab a beer (sample).

Thanks for the heads up Meg!! I'm working tonight, but I'm looking forward to the beer when it goes on sale. Love Belgian IPA.

KMcK - Awesome. We're thinking about tapping an IPA firkin out back in the brewhouse (but we need to test it and make sure it's good first ... it's been "aging" for a little while).

Something a few of us were wondering, but I don't think has actually been asked: Is there going to be a second brewing of this collaboration at the Phillips brewery, or is all the brewing occurring at Garrison?

If you attended the event at Garrison rather than that party in Dartmouth the same night, you would know the answer to that question.

Seanstoppable - there will definitely be a second brewing, where Daniel will head to the west coast for another collaboration brew with Phillips. Style has yet to be determined. First collaboration brew (Belgian IPA) will only be available in NS, and second brew will only be available in BC, save for the bottles Daniel smuggles back to Halifax!
