Best way to dry tubing

Post by mthibodeau » Mon Sep 15, 2014 3:34 pm

how do people dry their various hoses, tubing, and auto siphons? I hate leaving things damp. Best thing I have right now to help speed things along is an air mattress pump helps push some of the excess water out of various hoses but that only gets me so far and then its a waiting game
Kegged:
Bottled: Chocolate Orange Stout, Barkshack Sparkling Ginger Mead, Cherry Berliner
Fermenting: Fruit (havent decided yet) Lambic
Considering: Imperial Chocolate Raspberry Stout, Fir Tip Ale

I just let it air dry after I've rinsed and flushed with starsan. I also flush with starsan again prior use.

Most of my tubing lives in a bucket of starsan, after I clean it of course.

I've found my tubing gets slimy if I leave it in starsan.

I found Starsan yellows tubing as well if left in contact for any time.

I drape my tubing over anything that's handy, usually the back of a wooden chair, and leave it to drain dry. I used to whirl it around above my head outside but got bored with that game eventually.
